I work with schools and education organisations on curriculum, professional learning and partnerships with families. Through School Compass, I also help parents understand and navigate the school system.
My Work
Bringing together my experience as a teacher, school leader, education consultant and parent,
my work focuses on three connected areas: developing authentic place-based curriculum, helping parents navigate the school system, and strengthening relationships between schools and families.

Curriculum innovation & PLACE
I help schools explore what their curriculum makes possible, then turn their ambitions into practical changes.
This includes curriculum review and development through my PLACE framework, designing authentic learning projects, and supporting teachers to connect rigorous subject learning with the world beyond the classroom.

School Compass
I created School Compass to help parents understand how schools work and navigate the school system with greater confidence.
Through courses, practical resources and personalised support, I help parents make sense of applications, prepare for transitions and weigh the trade-offs they encounter along the way.

School-family relationships
I help schools and trusts understand families’ experiences and build stronger working relationships with parents and carers.
This can involve listening to families, reviewing communication, running staff workshops and working alongside school teams to develop and test practical changes.

My background spans nearly two decades in education — as a teacher, senior leader, curriculum designer, and trainer.
I now run my own organisation supporting schools, families and education providers.
