About Joe Pardoe
Background:
My journey as a professional educator began in 2007 when I started a placement on the JET Programme. I was sent to work in the local board of education of a small, beautiful and fascinating Japanese island called Fukue off the coast of Nagasaki. My role was to help plan, implement and deliver an 'international curriculum' for the islands 40 elementary and junior high schools. After finishing my two year placement, I moved to Shanghai in China to work as a Senior Teacher at a language school. After 18 months in China, I returned, in 2011, to the UK to take up a training place on the Teach First Programme. I was place in a large academy in Hull as a History Teacher. During this time I also started my MA in Education Leadership. After two years in Hull I decided to move to School 21 in Newham, London. Current work: I am currently Senior Leader: Curriculum and Assessment Innovation, School 21, Newham, London. |
